Scripts? What the hell are they? (Trigger Speaks)

I want to say just 1 more thing. The first time I used a script was slightly after KRG's original post. I didn't use scripts then, but reading it accually made me think about trying. The first script I used, I made and still use. It's my walk reload script. I didn't see it making me any better magicly. The next script I made was my duck jumping one. I would always to to duck jumps, but I would spend too much time consentrating on looking good in the air that I just sucked playing. Did this make me a magiclly better player? no. The last script was from playing with Dahak. After asking him more questions than most people will be asked in 2 years, I noticed that he used wasd and was able to prime nades while strafing right. So I finally got a nade priming script so I could do the same thing? Did this make me a magiclly better player overnight? No. It's all a matter of preferance IMO. If you notice, most of the players in clans/trying to get into top clans (EE)/and top clan wannabes (ME!!!!!) all use the scripts, while the more casual players here do not.

What is walk reload script for?

I guess the duck jump is for when your going thru the air not thru low openings ? Need to bind B for duck and spacebar to jump and let the thumb do both at the same time.

I have no problems priming while strafing I use the same finger on the right strafe key "f" and push the "g" key at the same time by sliding my finger over a little.

Just my opinion on it. mess with your keyboard set up a little and most binds become obsolete.

I have no special binds outside of a fun one, a neo one, and a mulching one. Those being:
O-say Taste my STEEL!!!! (while scout rushing with CBAR)
P-say Wow, you only got me down to %h health, you sux0r!
V-_special2

I have done all of these in game, no config browsing for me (I don't even know where the hell my config is!) I dutifully use my R key to reload, my X key to drop ammo, and my B key to Speak. I prime my own nades, I throw my own nades, I crouch jump myself, and I RJ myself. IMO, I hold my own here, I may not be the best (hell, I know I'm not the best) but I can handle my shit.

I'm with BBF. No scripts for me. NONE YOU HEAR ME!!!!

each key does one function. therefore.. not a script, so don't complain.

k i tried the autoreload. the regular reload IMO is better. the autoreload doesnt start to reload after sitting for a sec so its not immediate. the autoreload is not an advantage, if you dont believe me, try it yourself. BTW, i dont ust scripts.

I wondered how long it would take Frag to get his soapbox out. Ktulu has a point about the enhancements. I downloaded bright green sprites for my crosshairs. It makes it really easy to target people. I also changed my sniper dot to bright green, makes it easier to target in red lit rooms. I don't use scripts but I think hardware makes the most difference.

In the office I have a dual 800mhz machine with 512mb of RAM and a Voodoo5 card with a T1 connection and 2 speaker subwoofer.

At home I have a dual Gighz machine with 1Gig of RAM and a GeForce3 card with a professional DSL connection and surround sound subwoofer.

Both places I have ergonomic keyboards, trackballs, and 19inch flat screen monitors.

My FPS, ping, keyboard/trackball setup, and sprites give me more of an advantage than any script anyone has written about yet. Makes flaming fattys to death easy, unless it's Swift...damn her...

Yea, I use a script-I'm not embaressed about it. I use the nade priming script. Hit the button once to start prime, hit the button again to release. I frankly don't care what others think about me. Most of you can whip my ass anyway, so dont give me any crap about it making me a better player. Hell, i've mainly been sniping lately-how often do i use nades then?

Greebo what is wrong with using 1 key if you say it's ok with 2? There is no differance whatsoever besides the fact that the binds are different. I use the nade priming script to free up a key. If I did the same thing with 2 keys it's now ok because I'm not using a script?

greebo uses 1 key to do what would require pressing 12 keys, pick your poison...and stop making a big deal out of simple scripts that reduce repetitive skilless tasks.

When i have shot up all my shotgunshells then i need to type R
its no good fore me in cuz of that i walk on the Arrows ( YES I DO )
And i doesnt have so many buttons to have for realoding so a time ago i was going to make that script... but i did never got it to work

BTW... i can play without but i have to few buttons to hav it near the Arrows..
Just know i walk on arrows and reload on R ( SUX) ANOYING!
