|
|
i reformated my computer today, which i do every 8 months or so, but when i went to install the drivers for my video card, i had all kinds of problems. it says that the driver is working, but i cant get my computer out of 640x480 or 16 color mode! it is the most annoying thing ever, i cant even do basic things like surf the web, let alone play tfc! i dont know what could be the problem, i installed the driver right.
if anyone could help it would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Do you have one of the motherboards with the built on video, as well as a better AGP card? Sometimes that causes problems.
Did you change OSes? If so, driver versions might be wrong...
just tossing out ideas |

Go into settings, control panel, system, device manager and remove the video device and reboot and let it install again. |

Another thing you absolutely should do is go to the Website of your card manufacturer and download the latest drivers. That is always the first thing I do. |
