I know a few people may know him from some other servers. I am 100% convinced and so was Robert that he was using the latest speed cheat going on. No HW went as fast as he did. He outran me as him being a HW and me being a spy and as a soldier he went faster than a scout. Can't happen. His reasoning was that Valve "made it that way on this patch." I see it as being an a llama. To the people who know him and think he is legit...no, not in our admin's eyes. He's gone.

First, that was a funny post Robert.
Second, what a whino. That guy is such a llama. I wasn't even there when he was banned

, but I know his story is full of crap. The way all the admins have handled themselves in situations where a kick is needed, they have done so in a professional manor.

Plus I am not the experienced admin, but I have run the admin mod on TFC servers before, and I dont think that you can format a clients hd. It just gives you access to values in HalfLife/TFC.

This is to all the "eight year old admins", good job at keeping idiots like that off of these great gaming servers. Hats off to you guys.

Actually I'm usually sceptical of anyone accusing someone of cheating until I can verify it myself.
For example a while back on badlands (pre-patch) someone was accused of speed cheating
I questioned him and he said it was double pipe jump+bunny hop (ok so it was an exploit but at the time I wasn't worrying about that)
And he proved it by demonstrating
I tried it and it worked.

So beware of cheat accusations

Well Admin mod only has access to the HL engine. It doesn't have any permissions to your PC at all. Sometimes we wish it had.

Anyways, I work with the fella that wrote several scripts for AdminMod that the admins enjoy so much, like the Llama script. Happy fragin!!

This absolutely disgusts me. Banning him for a suspected cheat is one thing, but messing with the binds on his computer is just going too far. And I know for a fact that Paul doesn't cheat, he admins a TPF server for freaks sake! TPF Phoenix was the name, many a good game had there. Most (if not all) of us on the Planet Fortress forums have known Paul for ages, and know him not to cheat (He's owned us quite a few times.

) He just plain owns, and if an admin to a server wants to ban someone for having SKILL... Thats just plain wrong. I seriously encourage you guys to unban him, and apologize to him for messing with files on his computer. Until then, I'm encouraging ALL TPFers to boycot your servers. I used to play on TheVille servers quite often, but since my ping has gotten bad I've stopped. I know now that I will never be returning to the server.
Paul is a top notch guy, and its sad enough he has to stick to 1 or 2 servers because admins don't understand that there are people who ARE just THAT good. But when I see this from a server that a lot of TPFers play on and admin, and then I hear that said admins altered files on another persons computer...

You guys disgust me.

I used to play at Pheonix quite a bit just before it took its leave of absence.

I even played with Paul on occasion. He is an excellant sniper, and an excellant speed-exploiter. I don't know what you care to call it.. bunnyhopping/strafe jumping/gliding/skimming... the name isn't important.

It's an exploit to move that fast. The admins called him on it. He insulted them. The admins here put up with a lot of shit, and if someone is breaking rules, not changing upon warning, and then starts to become insulting, a ban is usually in order.

Granted I was not there, and the above is just what I pieced together from various posts.

In all honosty, it is you and those convinced by you, that are being hurt. TheVille is an excellant group of servers, well admined and with a very fine bunch of regulars.

But, such is life. Less people just means I will have an easier time getting onto the server, as they always seem to be full :grin:
