I wrote a bunch of cool poems for a project in 6th grade about school being a prison and a torture chamber, where the teachers were trying to destroy our minds and take over the world. My teacher loved it so much that she wanted to keep it. _________________

Do we have to subscribe to the 5-7-5 rule, or is 17 syllables acceptable? Your thread, your decision... _________________

OK. I don't know how to write poetry n such. (Just ask Gelly)
But I looked this up for folks, just for any clarification...
Haiku
: an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively; also : a poem in this form usually having a seasonal reference _________________

the sniper
sits in his perch
waiting for the kill
he sits still
waits
then creates
his shot
through the bushes
through the trees
he is where nobody sees
finally an enemy comes near
the sniper sits still with no fear
unloads one round
into the enemys head
now his enemy lays there dead
now if thats not a good poem i dunno what is |
