snarks are those little bug looking tings that crawl on the floor then jump at you and bite you they make that little squeeking noise too.. pain in the butt to shoot hard to outrun... but they sure make snipers dance

to answer your question what is a snark here is the answer

They are dirty little whores that when released they will go to the closest enemy (if visiable) and stays on him till
A. You Kill It
B. It Kills You
C. It dies from a timer thing
They are really mean and nasty and when used in groups can be deadly so watch out

Not Sure about my answer for Letter C. But Thats what they do in the GP2 (GirlPower2) Server thats a mod that Rob from Planetfortress made so im pritty sure its the same principle.

They are toning down the freezethrower which is good, but these 'snarks' sound a little weird

Sniper beam ladder should be interesting

Those snarks... are they the "bugs" from multiplayer half-life? I freakin' love those things! There really isn't a greater pleasure in life than seeing someone running backwards shooting for their life with about 5 nasty little bugs chasing him!

The best part of the snarks was when you'd flick them to piss them off, then you let them go on their way and bite bite bite!

more in depth descriptions anyone?

Medics little pals: The medics now have a new side kick, Snarks! But these aren't the dull Snarks you'll find in the lands of XEN these are NeoSnarks. They not only attack enemies but they attack you, and automated guns (Sgs and MGs). They are also coded completely from the ground up, so there vision is 3D, meaning they can look up and have more movement abilities. They have a small amount of health and a short life span however, so use them in strategic situations.

Saber Disc: This is a new feature for the Demoman, it offers a medium attack to enemies and with its rebound you, and some good timing, can be used to skill jump to great distances.

Beam Ladder: A new ladder that the sniper can build, but this isn't your ordinary library book fetching ladder. This thing comes self-contained with a generator, which is so powerful it sends some buzz up the poles. It is easy to use, walk up to it, look up, and press the use key (defaulted to "E").

Modified Grenade Launcher: The grenade launcher (Demoman upgrade) multigun has been improved. It now has a more accurate prediction. It fires directly at the target, and upon missing the target, will create MIRV bomblets.

HWGuy class builds a team mortar. Only teammates of certain classes can deploy Mortar Markers and call mortar strikes.

Calling a Mortar strike works like this:
Deploy a Mortar marker (preferably within Line Of Sight of a mortar) using the "marker" command, then select a friendly mortar (they are color coded by team) by pointing at it and having it in crosshairs, then use "mortarmissile" command to launch missiles at marker.
Markers will sustain damage from the missiles; however, they now have almost tripled the health of most buildspecials, so they will take some direct hits before they are destroyed.
Vulnerabilities:
You can have only one active Marker at a time.
You can only call Mortar strikes on you own Marker.
NOTE: Using a team mortar will award the mortar's owner with some
Bonus armor in increments of the required building armor cost, up to a maximum of level 3 share armor (150 armor).

Idle Animations added to MultiGuns: The MultiGuns now have there own animations to set them apart from others.
They include,
A spinning skull over bio-cannon.
A Random burst of flame for the Flame MG.
And a few others

RoS Improved: Scouts now glow when they activate the Ring of Shadows (RoS) feature, letting others know they are cloaked from automatic guns.
