i reformatted my hard drive today, and as i go to run my cd for all my motherboard drivers and stuff i find that the cd isnt there, along with my half life 2 cds. my brother moved them and doesnt know where they are. i am moving tomorrow, and i have the feeling once everything is packed up and unpacked im never going to see them again. i need that cd to get my sound to work and such. anyone have any suggestions?

go to their website, 90% of companys allow you to dl the drivers from the site.

More specifically, if you're using motherboard sound you'll want to try both the board manufacturer site (example MSI or Asus) and the chipset manufacturer site (example nVidia or Via).

I believe if you have a Steam account that you put in the HL2 CD-Key to activate it that you should be able to reinstall the game via Steam with that account. I may be rehashing what others said, but hopefully I'm saying it clearly.

or go to control panel, add hardware, then have windows "search" for the drivers....that what i did with my raid and scanner
