i reformatted my hard drive today, and as i go to run my cd for all my motherboard drivers and stuff i find that the cd isnt there, along with my half life 2 cds. my brother moved them and doesnt know where they are. i am moving tomorrow, and i have the feeling once everything is packed up and unpacked im never going to see them again. i need that cd to get my sound to work and such. anyone have any suggestions? _________________

go to their website, 90% of companys allow you to dl the drivers from the site. |

More specifically, if you're using motherboard sound you'll want to try both the board manufacturer site (example MSI or Asus) and the chipset manufacturer site (example nVidia or Via).
I believe if you have a Steam account that you put in the HL2 CD-Key to activate it that you should be able to reinstall the game via Steam with that account. I may be rehashing what others said, but hopefully I'm saying it clearly. _________________ -EvilGenius V$^PK

or go to control panel, add hardware, then have windows "search" for the drivers....that what i did with my raid and scanner |
