One that has an effective random function - something that winamp never got right for me, even when the random slider was where it was supposed to be.
And not Windows Media Player |

I like it, It has a good random player. you can set it to play some songs more often or competely random. I use it at work. I have alll my CDs on the harddrive and they just play. _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |

I have kept my eye on the Neuros MP3 player. I haven't purchased one yet, but that is because their versions kept upgrading. I have been waiting for that to slow down a bit and it seems that it might have.
As for the effective randomizer, there is a forum on their website that might contain the answer to your question.

Are you talking about a program to play mp3s on your pc, or a piece of hardware that you can carry with you and listen to mp3s on? |

If he is looking for software and neither wmp or winamp will work for him then he is basically sol. The only other player I have used is the core player and its hella unstable. |

I guess soo, huh? Oh well, I guess he might need an external MP3 player to get the functionality that a software player doesn't _________________

Jetaudio is a good one. It also has some ripping, broadcasting and burning features.
