Just wondering if anyone else uses this anymore? I feel alone not belonging to any 'group'. If there's interest I'll set something up!

Pretty cool. Although I would say that if they have not made any contact by now it's very unlikely there is any extraterrestrial life beyond earth.

SETI@home is a scientific experiment that uses Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). You can participate by running a free program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data.

Interesting perspective but a bit short sighted in my opinion. To assume that a universe of our size is populated by only one species is difficult for me to come to terms with. Rather, I would suggest that the overhwelming size of space has an influence on the results of data collected to date. To that end, it's possible that 'radio waves' are a phenomenon exclusive to Earth.

Didn't we establish, with the Mars Lander, that there was evidence of microscopic life at some point in the past?

I do believe this is where most life begins... In Mars' case, things changed and it died out. In our case, we kept growing....

That is true. Some alien race might have plopped us down here to grow us as food....
