ok, i'm starting to get a little upset at the general public for holding an ignorance in the mcdonald's case. there are some facts that prove that mcdonalds was in the wrong.
1) hot beverages (such as coffee) is supposed to stay below a certain degree point in restaraunts. i believe it's 120. (i'm probably off by 10). the coffee that was served to the woman was estimated to be at 160.
2) after this accident, this woman was no longer able to, how shall i put this, "enjoy" her husband in a certain way because the burning that was caused by the spilled coffee killed feeling in her crotch area.
you cant really put a price on the second of the two facts. i mean, guys, really, wouldn't you be a little peeved if you did something as simple as spill coffee on yourselves and you couldn't enjoy your wang anymore? she was well within her rights imo _________________

Well, if McD's did infact serve coffee that was 160 degrees, then yes, they should pay... that's just dangerous.
The current McD's lawsuits are a complete and total money grab. "I eat McD's every day, and I'm fat, so I'm gonna sue"... The only thing in that lawsuit that I've seen that holds any value and reason is the part about the ads focusing on kids, since it's well-known that the food isn't good for them... it's a very thin and weak line of reasoning, but that is actually arguable. All the rest of it is total BS.
Even if every single Stella award contestant is an urban legend, the fact that 99% of us can say "yeah, I wouldn't doubt it" means that the way we handle civil suits is badly out-of-kilter.
Maybe I can sue Coke since my teeth are being damaged by all the soda I drink, and they don't have a warning on their cans telling me the danger of consuming a case of their product each day...
If any of you bloodsuckers out there tries to use that, I reserve the rights to 1/2 of the settlement.
Can you say "The Ville directly connected to an OC12?" |
