Notice that I did not say all but only some of the propositions were poorly worded and I will add some have tacitly assumed things that may not be warranted. For example the very first propositon:
If globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.
tacitly assumes that these are either - or. In other words it assumes that the interest of humanity and the interests of trans-national corporations are mutually exclusive. They can be but it is not a given that they always are.
Here is another example:
The businessman and the manufacturer are more important than the writer and the artist.
"More important" - with respect to what? This propostion needs a little more context.
And last but not least:
One day, science may be able to cure homosexuality.
This one is difficult at several levels. The primary difficulty is demonstrated by the following question -- "Have you stopped beating your wife?" The statement assumes a priori that you beat or have in the past beat your wife. You cannot answer simply Yes or No. Lawyers love to use this kind of question (I used to work for a law firm as thier network admin).
Returning to the proposition, it does not expose the underlying reason that a person may disagree. Those in the homosexual community would disagree because they would say there is nothing to be cured -- it is not a disease or a disorder, but natural. Then there are those that would say it not a disease, but a behavioural choice (i.e a choice to to do evil) and you don't "cure" a choice, instead you change your behaviour. But those two points of view are at opposite ends of the spectrum. So disagreeing puts both of these into the same left/right auth/lib slot. DOH!
I WILL say that most of the propositions are concise and fairly well worded. _________________
