my sister and brother in-law met online, and now they aheva 2 year odl daughter that si cute as hell, in fact my dad and step-mom met online too i think... funny world eh? especially considering my girlfriend is somewhat computer illiterate, lol

Well, I wouldn't say it's exactly the best place to go purposefully looking for someone, (but, then again, neither is a bar, but that doesn't stop people...) but, where chance occurs, you can't choose.

I voted yes, as I am in one right now, and have been for about 8 months. (And have known the person (still, just online) for maybe 2 years.) Which, this is what I'm saying, didn't happen because I went out to intentionally find someone or anything, it just.. did.

Oh, and just because this is one thing that people always say that really annoys me, when people say that, "oh, online relationships don't work very often." well, you know, neither do probably 99 out of 100 that aren't online!

well i met all of you online (well in the game) and your all kick arse, so they work. But dating stuff, it doesn't work if you live to far apart, if you live in say, California, and she lives in New York, no.

Hanging out and meeting people you know in public places are cool. That's one thing to hang out with you guys.

I've chatted with a few Ville ladies. Some more often than others. Swift, Sherry, Hoax, Gala, and Kino among others. However, I don't see how I could possibly go into one (an online relationship) myself. It's too risky imo. I tried and failed in two long distance relationships (Atlanta, GA and Madison, WI.) Someone has to move and hope that it actually doesn't fall apart. Sure there are exceptions. But I've heard many more disaster stories than ones that turn out great. I saw a friend of mine move to another state and end up in something that was a disaster in the end. I'm glad he recovered and has found someone good for him. I drove 13 hours each way to bail him out. He returned the favor a year later when my trans dropped 100 miles away (from Chicago) in LaFayette, Indiana. Kinda showed what good friends were all about. It's still a risky proposition to pull up stakes and go someplace else for someone you have only seen a handful of times.

It's hard enough just switiching towns just for a potentially better oppotunity.
