400x100 is good for most people, even those runing in insane resolutions of like 800x600. Personally it's not too bad as long as you don't go above about 600x150 - but past there it starts annoying me and my 1280x1024 resolution. :p

mines leik 400x200 possibly.. height isn't so much a problem as the width is. or at least i dont' think so

I'd say about 500x200.
Personally, watever sized you'd like your sig to be (just dont egxagerate)...o great, someone spell egxagerate for me

510 x 170 is as big as I usually get. I went a little bigger with my latest because I had to fit that fat@zz tubby beeeeotch in it!
You can also go with other shapes. . .or rounded edges to save room. .
