Oh yeah, and you will need Microsoft's DirectX 8.1 driver (Windows Update), or you'll get cryptic errors. I also had to goto Nvidia's site and update my video driver to get it to work.

Yeah, downloaded it a week ago. Thanks to the media for pointing out how violent it is - sent me right to it.

Register online first. Takes 2-3 days+ until they email you back your password. You CAN NOT progress through training without your password.

Once picking a server online, I found what really sucks bad is that you have to wait until the next game starts, usually 5-10 minutes. That blows, bad. If you get killed, you can't re-enter until the next game, another 5-10 minutes. That blows, bad. Unless you like spectating empty fields.

I know I was a noob, but I got killed good and quick. Alot. My lack of patience made me bail out.

But it is cool shooting your boot camp instructors. They really hate that. Wonder if the Army is logging that stuff. Oh well.

Well, I agree with you Zack but the thing of it is this, It is a military designed simulation. The Army is trying to bestow the thought of a real life scenario into it's players. What better way to draw the interest of young minds to joining the Army than targeting this generations main form of entertainment "PC 3-D Shooters".

I guess the point behind the delays in rejoining the game after death is to give you a hypathetical "Feeling of Death" unlike TFC where we can each respawn everytime. It's got his bugs, but what game that is new on the market does'nt ?

I hear you, and I understand the concept. Yeah, TFC makes getting killed no big deal at all, true, very true.

But I bet the 30 seconds alive : 600 seconds spectacting concept is going to kill AAO real quick.

I just want to shoot stuff and watch it blow up (in this pretend world of ours, of course).
