You're probably gonna hate me for posting crap about cs on the forums but I just bought counter-strike and i updated it to version 1.3 and when I try to go in it says I still need an update can somebody give me a link please

Ok that would take aproximately..... on my system.... 36 hours to download I have 1 thing say about "downloading cs off file planet" F#%K that and next time u post please hassle me and then answer my question

kronic, the same thing happened 2 me, but all i did was reinstall cs and everything worked perfectly, well, i have 2 uninstall and and then install it again, reinstalling it didn't work

Try the Villes "files" section Rob has provided the CS upgrade. I'm not sure if it's the latest greatest though. It's been a while.

Is your Half life version up to date? That was why I couldn't get CS 1.3 to work. If so, try http://www.fileplanet.com, they have all the newest patches

CS does make you very good at not dying, which helps alot on the ville servers... so put that in your pipe and smoke it...
