Bind A Key

Hey There

With neo on TV2, it's time to bind keys again. Going on foggy memory I typed the following:

bind x _special2

Needless to say, it does not work. Several variations also failed me. Can someone help?

bind "x" "_special2"

bind "x" "buildspecial"

bind "x" "buildspecial2"

bind "x" "detspecial"

bind "x" "detspecial2"

bind "x" "+hook"

i think thats msot you'll need, the scouts radar is on the mouse2, so i odn't think it needs to be bound, mine still is but whatever. also there are some other that can eb accoomplised by the oens above. for instance

scout= warjump or tele
demo= senmine
pyro= freeze
spy= airstrike
pretty sure thats most fo them, or at elast thats what i wrote on my papaer when i was straighteneing out my binds, i persoanlly bound then as letters and also have up, down left and right as _special2, detspecial, buildspecial, and buildspecail2 respectively. it seems to work. hoep this helps and then some

[edit] or you can jsut go into your config.cfg file in tfc folder and edit themt here, lol [edit]

thats exactly what i was looking for to my neotf binds!! thxs for bringing this up Meat Juice and thxs Gizanked for the other helpful hint tips to bind my neotf

... now another questions can you make it so it fits all those in one section? and where would i place my drop bag for bind x? hmmm so much to learn on cfg binds and files!!

That actually helped me too, tee hee hee. Problem is I have so many bound keys that I'm gonna have to find room for the new ones, heheh.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I tried to bind my keys both with and without the quotes, and I couldn't get them to work. I know I've bound keys before, cause I used them when NeoTF was on in the past. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. #2gunfire

Are you sure that the things you're using aren't disabled by the server?

I've got a side question to this.
What binds are neccessary to use everything in Neo?
I've been trying different combos(arrow keys, keypad), but I'm still trying to find a good one.
Any suggestions?

yeah just keep with the bind "x" "y" stuff, that will work.
make sure "x" is the key you wish to bind and the "y" is the console command for that classes special ability.

i type my binds as such:

bind x "_special2"

with the "" just around the command, and not the key.

That might work for some.
