I wonder sometimes where all those sg's and mg's go when they sink into the floor Me, I like the idea of building my mg on top of my sg. This of course can be done however, the mg will sink into the sg. I've never gotten one upgraded while inside the sg so I'm not sure what would happen. Prolly blow the sg or both. I like the idea of building my sg on top of my dispenser. This can be done provided you have something to stand on next to the dispenser. Try another dispenser! You can do this with mg's also. It is actually no more effective than one on the ground and it's more vulnerable because the dispenser is easier to take out but hey, it's just creative engineering. Can't get up there? Dispensers as stepping stools, gotta love em. Your team mates will love you for it too! Always build your guns in the most far out, up there, "how'd he do that" place. You can enlist the help of many others like my faves the sniper and medic. The sniper can get you up to the most bizarre of places. None of this really makes you a more efficient killer, it's just creative engineering. So next time you are running around doing your engy thing, take time to stop and smell those eves and overhangs! C-mon two stars lol!

the best way to jump EVER while an engy is...
*dun dun dun*
the dreaded emp-dispenser jump!!!
That's how i get onto the rafters in crossover2
build dispenser, stand on dispenser, throw an emp so it hits the dispenser, and one millisecond after the final beep, JUMP!!!

Actually, I do something far less complicated than having to build a dispencer and all that jazz. Just toss out a grenade or EMP and jump up off it as it explodes, if you do it right you wont be blown to bits, and you'll be in the rafters faster and with more stuff to build your SG up there.

Ah now you are missing the point! Jumping off grenades is not creative engineering. Anyone can jump off grenades! And using dispensers as a stepping stool is much more efficient than grenades because your teamates can use it too while saving their nades! It's not about playing to win, it's about being creative. If you play to win everytime, you'll miss out on some cool stuff.

Yeah, this is the kind of thing I was talking about a while back, but my thought was different. With mirror damage on, have a teammate throw the grenade or launch a rocket while you jump and you don't lose any health or armor... at all! Now, that's creative, Baby! Of course, you may have to watch helplessly from above as your weakened teammate gets slaughtered by a scout or something, but hey it's for the greater good.

Hey did u know that u dont have to leave ur sg on a dispenser?? Once ur sg is built on disp, u can dismantle the disp, and the sg legs will fall, but the guns will float above them, in the same place. Making the sg immune to the scurge of all engies, the dreaded nail grenade.

Maian,
That's a great tip, but I would add that the sg isn't immune even there from a nail grenade. Nail grenades hover at whatever height they are when they start shooting. If a soldier times it right, they can put that thing at any height they want it. But they have to release it at just the right time. Or drop it from waaay above like I sometimes do by rocket jumping over a building and throwing it over the roof.

If you want to have even more fun, get a couple engy friends into an empty server, and see how many sgs you can stack. Its harder than it sounds. You have to build a dispensor tower next to it just so you can jump up high enough. I have pictures around here of a 5 high sg stack. Can you imagine running into that at cp3? |

I guess you're right FD, but lets face it, not that many people know that. Oh, and by the way, that is a very good signature. Did you comeup with it, or is it a quote. Cause its true, Ive just never thought about it that way.
