I have yet to download it due to it's size and the speed of of modem. From
what I gather the Online version isn't released to the civilian world yet.
The government is trying to get this offline as it is for some reason or another.

just finished playing a little online (after basic training). you need to register at the site first and save your training sessions (online) along the way in order for the server to recognize you when you finally join.

i didn't know half the keys but the graphics were pretty stunning imo. gameplay is pretty much like CS, down to the waiting to respawn while the rest of your teammates play on.

major complaint: NO ROCKET JUMPING!! wtf!!! heh!

I did. and it made the game worse. I had to uninstall the whole game and start over and by not aplying the latest update it atleast let me play. From what I read in there forums they didnt do any testing on win2k machines and thet the next new patch should resolve my issues.

I tried it myself. I got tired of being put in jail for shooting people.

If some Sgt Major whatever, gave me too much lip, he got drilled!

They won't be recruiting me!

That does not make sense for the government not to test ANYTHING 100% that they release. Hope they do a better job with the hardware that they issue out to our troops

Ok, just finished playing AA and completed ALL the training maps including sniper school, airborne, Ranger, etc. Only took me 2 days and although it was kinda fun in the beginning, I still miss my rocket jumps and voice-comm...

Excellent graphics but I can imagine it being a burden on slower machines with lesser or non-NVIDIA cards. Pretty decent game overall but I still don't have the patience to wait out a death till respawn ala CS/DoD. If there was any consolation to myself, I managed to clean up my entire workspace and surrounding area in between deaths during these coupla days! Now that my desk is clean.... BACK TO TFC!!!!

Yeah, downloaded it a week ago. Thanks to the media for pointing out how violent it is - sent me right to it.

Register online first. Takes 2-3 days+ until they email you back your password. You CAN NOT progress through training without your password.

Once picking a server online, I found what really sucks bad is that you have to wait until the next game starts, usually 5-10 minutes. That blows, bad. If you get killed, you can't re-enter until the next game, another 5-10 minutes. That blows, bad. Unless you like spectating empty fields.

I know I was a noob, but I got killed good and quick. Alot. My lack of patience made me bail out.

But it is cool shooting your boot camp instructors. They really hate that. Wonder if the Army is logging that stuff. Oh well.
