Back yet again for another installment of KRG's Map of the Month! Wow, it sounds so exciting when I say it like that!

Author: Randy "Fumigator" Whitaker

Objective: King of the Hill

Type: CTF

Join one of four countries trying to steal
secrets from the CIA.

Start in parking garage of CIA headquarters.

Take your country's key, coded with highly
classified intelligence, up to the roof of
the building, where the transmitter awaits to
send the intel back to your country.

Once secured, hold transmitter at all costs!

This is a large map with tons of nooks, crannies, tunnels, vents, stairways, etc etc. There are many ways to get to the top so you are not stuck going the same route over and over again. 4 seperate teams all striving to get their key to the top and transmit their codes. Once you transmit, you have to hold control of the transmitter tower or the other teams will transmit their codes!

Excellent textures and attention to detail. The bathrooms house some nasty stuff for one example.

It's an extremely different map from all the others I have seen in many ways. It is definitely worth a look IMHO.

play tested it many times with jmc mapzone and with some of the folks at tf map comlex.. it is a map that roxors and is a 4 team play type map like turkeyburgers_tfc.. And thxs for finding it krg and sharing it with everybody here

i think these monthly map picks are a great idea!! and we should have a monthly custom map pick by the villuns maybe once a month? i think this is a great idea and just curious on what other peoples thoughts into this are?

Well, I have been doing this for. . . . .well. . . a long time.

I can't recall when I started doing it.

I just find maps here and there. Sometimes they are brand new and sometimes they are "sleepers" that never got noticed. Either way, I have always said that more people should take the time to d-load and play custom maps. This has been my way of drumming support for custom maps.

I used to run playtest nights but now, we playtest them on US-V nights. Support for the "open" playtest nights dwindled and we had maybe 4 or 5 people to test the maps everytime. It just wasn't enough support for me to devote the time and energy to set them up.

I am happy you enjoy them Gala.

That's what I do it for.

I will continue to do this every month until they stop making custom maps. . . .

and that ain't going to happen!

Gala, anything you can do to promote new maps is A+ in my book. If you come up with something along the lines of what you are suggesting, I would help you in a heart beat. Just say when.

New maps may not always be great but I definitely have fun trying them out.
