|
|
This is a little brain teaser. The trick is to find what is wrong with this paragraph. I'll give you a few hints. There is nothing grammatically wrong in any way. This paragraph does not contain something, and that's wut you have to figure out.
Here it is:
"This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out
what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain, though, you would think
nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! But it is
unusual. Study it, think about it, and you still may not find anything odd
at all. But if you work at it for a bit, you just might find out what it is
that is so unusual about it! Try to do so without any coaching!"
After some posts, ill give the answer _________________

Proof that my head is filled with useless information:
Georges Perec wrote a novel called "A Void" (La Disaparition) in French without using the letter "e". Then Adair, came along and translated it into English - again, no "e"!
To Perec's credit, apparently French is even harder to write coherently without "e" than English - I don't speak French, so I wouldn't know. Maybe some of our Horton-eating, Northern bretheren can back this up.
I read about 1/4 of this book in college, but the lack of articles (the, he/she, etc.) as well as the freaky paranoid plotline got to me and I turned it in at a used book store for less than $1 in store credit. I should have kept it for the novelty aspect.
Kids - Whatever you do, DO NOT READ! It can only fill your heads with information. Information which you will uncontrollably regurgitate at the slightest prompting! Avoid learning at all costs! Play video games and make your money as a rock star or professional athlete! _________________

No letter *E.* I am posting this without reading any of the other posts. This is unusual because the letter *E* is the most commonly used letter in the alphabet.
