Wouldn't it be more practical to tranq the hw and circle him with the nailgun? |

LOL, that'll work against a newbie hw, but I wouldn't advise it against any of the quality fatties that frequent the ville.

Yeah YourPowersAreWeakOldMan is pretty good at spy spotting. I'm "usually" smart enough to wait for his attention to go somewhere else before I sneak and kill him like the filthy no good spy I am.

No problemo. A Level one sg is very slow and has a pitiful rate of fire. These can be taken out with a direct hit from a grenade. A level 2 sentrygun has a fast rate of fire and much better radar than a level one. It almost always takes 2 normal grenades to get these. The level 3 sentry is a nightmare. It's very accurate, has an incredible rate of fire, and it shoots rockets. It still only takes two normal grenades to kill them but good engys rarely leave a level 3 sg alone.

I don't usually play spy, but one I have one tip. When you feign death, DROP YOUR PACK. I don't know how many times I've killed spys who "died" and didn't leave a pack.

Speaking fo spies owning, look at #11 on my ownage chart. There's a certain spy there (cough cough). Look on my ownage chart, there's some pretty funny stuff. I pay some really good players "Visits" |

I kind of skimmed through the whole thread, so someone might have already said this.
If you disguse yourself, for example, as a HWG, don't run into a room that already has 2 HWGs in it. It tips them off if there are 3 HWGs on a server that only allows 2.

heres some tips from what i learned.
If playing avanti and the round begains... just run all the way to the church and work your way to the bottem.
in Epicenter its better to play as deffensive spy and help guard the apc.
Also if there are sgs bunched together, kill the engis first then use airstrike, if no airstrike then use nades and nail gun.
NEVER EVER be disgiesd as a unit the other team doesnt have... most people go "hey when did we get a (what ever you are)"
for warpath and your team is capping alot... run to the last cap 1 or 5 and go to the nme spawn and hide there. like no one ever checks there.

A good disguise sometimes is to be an enemy spy. This is effective because since you are only changing colors then it takes half as long to disguise. Also, unlike the other classes they spy WILL show you the currently held weapon. Many people will just assume you are really on thier side because you dont have a tranq gun out. But this can still fail because ther are llama morons that shoot every spy in sight, regarless of what color.

On Spy Vs. Spy battles, I'd use my super shotty if I have about 70 or more health. Knife is only good for stabbing in the back. Otherwise I'd just run back to my team. And the best weapon for SGs is nails. Sometimes when you run out of grens, you can look out behind a wall and nail the Engie to death. Then you can take out the SG easily. Great Spy tips, everyone! |
