DoD sucks because you constantly get sniped by people who you can never see....

I agree. We tried dod once, and it lost interest really quickly.

Sounds like some TFC maps.  DoD is IMHO the best mod for HL so far. It's nothing like any of the others. I really enjoy playing it. But that's just me... |

I like dod too. Some of the new maps after the last release are really fun.
Maye someday. It is not so much a question of not having it as it is that we do not have a server to run it.
Does anyone play battlefield 1942? Killer and I have been playing with the demo and it seems like a great team player format. with the ability to fly and drive many different vehicles and shoot BIG guns...it maybe the game of the future.

I was like the official DOD whore when we had it here, but for some reason no one really got into it and thus it is now a distant memory. I agree with Snag that its the best HL mod yet.

Battlefield 1942 sucks because you constantly get sniped by people you can't see
I like the concepts of DoD and Battlefield 1942, but they both have they're problems. DoD's textures are too crowded and clashed on most maps, so it's very hard to see where something is. Also, both mods have a really bad problem with snipes. Anyone that can own as a snipe on DoD, can own everyone on the server.

I remember joo Assassin! I too was a DOD hoor when it was at TheVille. Everytime I logged on, there was Assassin. Never really had any problems with snipers just those annoying shovel wielding freaks! I too thought DOD was great. Just not enough support to keep it alive here.
The only time I really get sniped on Battlefield 42 is when I eject from my plane and I am floating down with my parachute. If some fool tried to snipe my plane  I would dive bomb his @nus!
