Why cant i spectate?

When i tryed to specate it said this is reserved to the rights of admin when i asked mulisha to give me rights to specate he said theres no reason, no hard feelins to him i kno hes just doin his job but all i wanted to do was make a demo. Is there no specate to reserve slots on the server?Can we implement HLtv or something i like chase camera.....?
or can admin give me rights to specate...?

i think it's enabled on 2 but not 3. or 3 but not 2.. hehe

Well you asked to spec (btw I don't know how to set that up, I think its part of the server config) but there was no reason to and I didn't want to take up a spot for someone else to play.

Like Mul said.

Spectator mode was removed along time ago for two reasons. One, there was a cheat that exploited it and two we found we had too many people spectating instead of playing. There is a limited # of slots on the servers and if 3 people are spectating while the server is full thats three slots that could be taken up by people who wish to be playing but cant get in to do so.

Usually the slots would be taken up by noobs who are trying to learn how to play and such. They mean no harm but dont realise that they are taking up a slot.

Acually mulisha it isnt part of the server config the console command is:
cl_spectator_password 0
