Totally Off Topic but anyway - it's a ramble all right.

Ok I have't slept in 26 hours so I'm kinda high on adrenaline right now, hence why I think posting this is a good idea.
Having got my new system I just reinstalled WW2 Online (with all 100 MB or thereabouts of patches).
All I can now say is
WOW!
I don't think I've ever played any game of TFC that comes close to how much emphasis is placed on working together to achieve your objective in this game.
Was playing last night (this morning) and an Allied offensive was launched against a French town to recapture it cos it'd been taken by the Axis.
I swear at it's peak in this offensive there were 75-100 people involved.
No one person can do this alone, even against the AI (to make up numbers during quiet server times).
The teamwork was phenomenal.
We had tanks pounding the hell out this place from every direction.
We had infantry trying to capture buildings to retake the down.
We had a convoy of approximately 5 trucks (people have to drive the trucks, can't kill anyone in them...unless they run someone over) constantly ferrying the infantry around the edge of the town to get a decent infiltration point.
We had planes fighting the really annoying enemy planes who would wait for a full truck of infantry to drive past, then shoot them to pieces.
We had trucks towing the heavy artillery to save the poor buggers pushing the guns a good mile from the spawn area to within range.

It took a good hour and a half before we captured that place - I never killed anyone, but managed to at least damage a lot of em (including some planes - as a rifleman, was quite proud of that).

Most fun I've had online in a long time.
I totally recommend the game - though it is very power hungry.
Well worth the $10/month fee.

I would play those online games but
1) have no money
2) parents would never give me funds to play an online game
3) have no money
