Buy?????

I "borrowed" it from a friend whose computer died, and he never asked for it back.

I have NEVER played the 1 player game. I made it past the intro once, but I got bored and stopped playing. I had already downloaded and played TFC, so it was like, play vs fun real people, or kill computer controlled aliens after a 30 minute intro that you can't skip. pffff

You missed out by not being patient Shocker. The AI is smart, and I mean really smart. If you throw a grenade into a group of grunts without ticking it off they yell Grenade and scatter. They bounce ticked off grenades over boxes and around corners at you. Sometimes the Xen aliens are even smarter.

I bought it cause I liked first person shooters like Jedi Knight. Played Half-Life on the LAN during lunch and after work with the guys. The teamplay deathmatch was always so unsatisfying. THen lo and behold Valve gave us TFC, for free.

I never bought the game. A friend of my told me about it cause he was already playing it a couple of months and he lended me his cd.
I first play out oppossind force and began at half life.

After a couple of weeks i downloaded TFC and began playing.
I directly started oplaying at the ville and after a couple of months i registered here.

I still play tfc with my friends cd, he uninstalled it a couple of months ago because he thought it was boring. (no wonder if you stay playing the same map over and over again.

I played doom some, and years later then halflife came out and I thought it looked cool, awesome graphics (at the time, and now they're not bad either) and a pretty good concept. I played through the single-player mode and then heard about TFC, sounded cool so I got it and started playing..end of story

Other. I was playing HL single player on my friend's computer, having far too much fun with the all weapons cheat, and WALL BOXES! (dunno what they're really called, but that's what all call them, the things you put on the wall and they have a laser beam?) and yes, so then I think my birthday was like the next week or something, so he got me the HL/TFC/OF pack for me. So it was a present. I never played TFC for months after that though.

I have always been into flight simulators (combat not the cheesy piper cub kind) but way back when I played Castle Wolfenstein 3D and thought it was pretty cool. Then came Doom and when I bought a Vodoo Fusion card, it came with a limited version of Unreal. I liked unreal a lot and even got my Dad into it. Well he went out and bought Half-Life because of all the reviews. I tried and liked it, so I bought a copy for myself. I tried half-life online and it was kinda boring, not really in to constant dm, so then I tried TFC and was hooked.

Well, I actually dont even own Halflife. I have CS. I found out about it when my friend took me to a place called Combat Theatre. It's a place where you pay a dollar an hour and play others on a lan. It's always packed and the comps are fast. So then i bought the game myself and started playing online. I got tired of my comp's slow performance so i started looking in the other mods that came with it. And i found TFC and havent stopped playing or go back to CS since. I might play CS a little now since i just got my new PC. SHOULD BE SOOO FAST!!! I'll post about it in about an half an hour. Not built yet though, still in pieces...

I got it for three reasons.

1) It looked good at the time.

2) My friend owns it and said it was great.

3) There is the shooting factor that just really inticed me. You can't shoot people in real life, but you can shoot models .

I Pirated mine, at first, then I got tired of downloading updated cracks to work around the patches and I figured it was a good game and one I'd actually buy, so I had some extra money around and bought myself my own personal copy.
