It kind of reminds me of a Violent Pacifist
But of course, we shouldn't be making fun of this most profound protest. I don't know enough about what this particular Monk was protesting, but he apparently believed in it enough to die for it. That is the epitome of pacifism. Change from peace. It is something for us all to think about in these times of struggle. You can persecute your enemies in the fashion of the Old Testament of the Bible, continuing the cycle of violence, only making them hate you more, making their hate stronger than ever, or you can bring change through love. Violence begets violence, and as Remedy of Wutang said, "The final solution is not retribution."
No I am not Bhuddist, but I respect the religion highly. I am more of a Christian than anything else, but I will never associate myself with any of the sects of the religion. I think of my self as a member of my own religion. It has all the ideals of Christianity without the governmental structure of Catholocism or the other negative aspects of many of the different Christian sects. I guess you could call me a Purist!
Purism! The religion of the future

It is most likely a Buddhist monk protesting the increased influence in Tibet by China, in the 1950's I think. Many burned themselves alive in protest. The Dali Lama was even exiled because of China's communism and its banishing of religion. _________________ http://www.chronixradio.com |

Pretty sad
I imagine a Monk who will go down in flames will do it in honor. He will probably meditate and try not to scream or budge to show weakness I assume. I've seen Monks who can sleep in snow for a day without wearing a shirt and still surpass hypthermia. It's all in the mind _________________ I like you---that's why I'm going to kill you last.

There are many things that we are capable of that we don't know about. Remember, we only use about 10% of our brain. Makes ya wonder, what would we be able to do if we used it to its full capacity? _________________ http://www.chronixradio.com |

Yep. Remedy was the first white member of WuTang and when he raps that specific line, it is in a song about the Holocaust. Apparently he is Jewish.
