I bought this game, because my friend said he was going to start playing again, and therefore I could no longer use his cdkey |

Didn't buy it. My brother gave me his copy of Half-Life after solving it. So I played it through, then months later started messing with TFC to test the speed of my nifty new cable modem. Been playing ever since.
Hmmm, know what would be a good topic for a poll? Ask how many of us have actually played the single-player game in Half-Life. |

Buy? heh
I "bought" it because everyone else on my floor was playing it so I did too. *shrugs* _________________

Heard more than enough about it in gaming mags, bought the platinum pack(yeah, yeah, I know, free mods), played the single player of HL and Opposing Force. Then I played TFC. _________________ http://www.chronixradio.com |

Because I can kill people without going to jail. Also, the fact that they come back to life is pretty cool.
I bought it because I had played it on a LAN with some friends and loved it! It was great fun! And still is. _________________

I had to do something with the computer Tink gave me for Christmas....Halflife was like free or pretty close to it at frys one day and the young wife brought it home.
Killer and I had a lot of fun getting those baddies ....we knew nothing about it but what was on the cover. Great fun!
We played Unreal online first though before getting on the TFC band wagon. |

I had just gotten my new computer (my previous computer was quite archaic--33MHz 486 4MB RAM, 245MB HD, no CD-ROM no sound--hey I did my master's thesis with it!). I was looking for some games to keep me occupied and my brother sent me several game demos. Half-life Uplink was awsome. I bought the full version of the game and played it through. I cracked into TFC on a 28.8 modem line (best that was available until we got DSL here--isn't that a kicker). I still go back to Half-Life every now and then just for the heck of it--it is a lot of fun. _________________

At the time I bought HL I had a P200 (pre-mmx). I was looking for any sort of new game to play that would run on it. (Boredom). A friend said he thought maybe Half-Life would, and it did, though painfully.
So of course I ended up building a newer computer. TFC didn't occur to
me till a different friend basically dragged me kicking and screaming into
a game. I was never 'Player'. _________________
