Actually if you look at the new tech specs and comparisons the newest P4s beat AMD hands down no contest in all fields and the 2.8 can safely overclock to 3.3. The price on Pentium chips are also coming down. Pentiums also run alot cooler so you dont have to buy a bunch of extra cooling equipment or bore holes for extra fans. Also alot of programs are optimized to run best under a Pentium chip.

In the end is Price vs Performance. It'll cost you roughly $500-600 for a new P4 that will perform better and faster vs. $300 for a new AMD (not including cooling accesories)

I'm stating this totally from a technical standpoint. I myself have AMDs in my computer but have read all the reviews, stats, and benchmarks for the new P4s vs the AMD XPs and the P4 has come out on top...Most people who won't admit that are just AMD fanboys/girls so their input is biased.
