It occurs to me that even a great player can't beat a good team by himself. If you doubt this, just ask Michael Jordan.
But too often in TFC I feel like I am just doing my part for the team "goal". Not actually working with anyone to achieve it. Sure, I might take out an sg, or blow the back door of the church, or even cap the flag. But there is no coordination other than me saying where I died when I had the flag.
I would like to try teaming up with one other person to try some two person combo tricks. For instance, Soldier/engy partners could have soldier shoot rocket at jumping engy and engy would effectively rocket jump with no cost to himself in health or armor. That way he could build sg in difficult to reach places. Another thought is a few code words to describe typical defense configurations. We could know what we are going up against without all the typing. Since different classes run at different speeds its hard to stick together. So a pre- arranged signal might even work to coordinate attacks against certain defenses.
Anyway, that's what I was thinking I'd like to try. I don't think it will work to try and get a whole team doing this since everyone will be asking, "Who got fragged and made you boss?" And I have nothing against clans, but I'm not really interested in trying to start one. So that's why I figured two people would keep it simpler.
Anyone that is interested in this, please email me. I usually play on theVille around the time they start up at night. But I'm around today and this Saturday my wife will be going out of town, so I will have more time this weekend

P.S. Also, I don't usually get very good skill ratings and I don't care too much about them. Be forewarned, if getting a high rank is your thing, you will probably hate playing with me.

Nobody emailed me, so I guess this is a bad idea? Oh well, if someone wants to try something like coordinated engy placement or other coordinating, give me a yell if you see me online. I just put my wife on a plane, so I will be playing a good deal with only occasional breaks for take out food and perhaps to go see violent films that my wife refuses to go see.

Hey demon, don't despair, you aren't the only person out there who doesn't care about /skill, /skill, /skill. When I am not playing as Stat Junkie, I would love to try teaming up with you on theville.org 1. I'll keep an eye out for you. That soldier jumping thing is something I have always wanted to do on the ville because with mirror damage you don't lose health or armor. Would work with a pipebomb too. Hell, even a grenade! If you see me on sometime, give me a shout and we'll try some coordinated teamwork!

Hey FD, I'm always into plans for creative defense and offense. I often have wanted to see if I can sniper launch a flagbearer from below CP1 to CP2, or lauch the person from the lower balcony to CP3. I think a player who has been sniper launched can move faster than a SG
If I run into you during a game lets try some creative stuff. Of course if the team is full of noobs we may not have the time to try these things as we will be in panic defense mode.

That's great guys, thanks! I will be looking out for you. TV 1 disappeared from my list tonight for some reason, but I'm sure I can get it back. See ya out there.
