Multi-User Domains.
Never played em, heard of em tho. My roommate knew about em, and had played them in the past, but I never knew how, or had the motivation to get into them.

I've been know to hang around on MUCKs that are primarily social
affairs. I'm more of a builder than an RPer, never gotten into any
sort of RP-heavy M*. But if you catch me trying to pose in TFC,
you know why.
To answer OS:
A MUD is basically any sort of online, text based, multi-user, user-
extendible virtual world. They're called MUDs because they all descend
from -the- MUD, which in fact stood for 'multi user dungeon'. Dungeon
was a popular single-user text adventure game. Since that time many
different variants have been created, each with a name that's a bad joke
on MUD: MUSH, MUCK, etc.

I understand that MMORPGs are, more or less, just graphical muds.

| I used to, back several years ago, when a lot of people were. I don't anymore, kinda got really boring. However that same one is still the only one I've ever found that was any good, and it's still around. (Though, they completely remade it, and it's not as good any more, but still--) The one I speak of is Moongate, or.. um.. I think they renamed it something. Let's see... ah, here it is. http://www.materiamagica.com/ . fun. for about a week. but, thats more than i can say for any other mud. |

Shoot enemy 1.
- You miss. Enemy 1 hits you for 27hp.
Shoot enemy.
- You miss. Enemy 2 hits you for 50hp.
Attack.
- Invalid command. Type 'help' for list of commands.
Throw MIRV.
- You hit Enemy 1 for 87hp.
- You hit Enemy 2 for 187hp.
- You kill Enemy 2.
- You hit Enemy 3 for 140hp.
- You kill Enemy 3.
- You hit yourself for 24hp.
GAME OVER
Play again Y/N: _ |

hey its not that old...i love LORD!! that was the first computer game i EVER played online, i played it at my cousins house when i would go visit him...ive been trying to play ADOM, but it is wayyy over my current ability, maby in a few years ill figure it out...
