"are responding more quickly than"
"are responding quicker than"
I'd stick with the first one. I'm sure there's some reason that I took in at school without realising it.

Saying "quicker than" is a slang english term. You would have to say "faster than" to cut out the word more.
So in other words, "more quickly than" is correct.
There is no such word as funner.... it would be more fun.
There is no such word as littler...... it would be smaller.
But do not say more big because it would be bigger.
etc. etc.

How about saying : "Are responding with a ping lower than XXX ms."? _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

Hehehe, I spent a little over a year as a copy editor for a newspaper, I'm surprised I never noticed how awkward that sentence fragment is. It's my opinion that it would be best said like Borg's suggestion... something like "Filter by servers that responded in less than XXX ms" That'd probably be about the best way of saying it... but then again, that's why I'm not a copy editor anymore |
