| If the bodyguards are doing there job the AR is useless cause you cant get cloes enuf to use it. I know last night the hunted was in the corner crouched with a sniper on top of him AR'ing the shit out of his head and me with my medpack was still able to keep him alive. |

I use the AR when I have spawned and am running to get into a new position. If I come around the corner and there is the prez and 6 guards then I will do my damndest to get the prez.
What I think is lame is snipers that go into the base with their AR and kill the prez. The snipers should stay out of the base and wait for the prez to come out. They can go into the base via the vent or the sewer but they should only use the sniper rifle and not the AR.
Just my thoughts.

Speaking as one who often plays the Prez....if you have good bodyguards that stick with you (like a personal medic and at least 1 solly) the AR is useless and the sniper does much better shooting from a distance, as mentioned by Shaft. The lameness that causes the rule on most servers really has to do with entering the base and ARing the prez. It is really lame to come charging in and do nothing but AR as a sniper. Still if the medic is keeping the Prez pumped up it is amazing how effective the Umbrella can be 
You need a team and everyone needs to do their job. Nail grenade down the sewer and rockets in the vent. A medic, Solly and HW with the Prez at all times and at least one solly point and an advanced medic to open door and spot the best path, and you can have the fixins for a fun game.
I also feel that there should only be 1 or 2 more Bguards than there are snipers. That usually makes for the closest games. I've found 5 Guards and 4 assasins and 1 Prez to be the best balance on the Hunted map. |
