Stop the disconnects

I can't even stay on at times for more that a minute. The disconnects are completely random and I don't know what is causing them. They are really annoying to try to game with. I have already switched ISPs, but that hasn't helped. I am at the end of my patientence with this. Can someone please help me?

Ok I am going to say is this on a dedicated phone line or one shared at whre you live where people can pick it up or call waiting can kill it?

Have you checked to make sure your (If you have Call Waiting) is it
Disabled ?

Well dont know if this will help you or not but about a month ago my parents were having the same problem at there house where it would either never connect or connect at a piss poor speed then disconnect after a bit. After I spent 2 hours making sure it wasnt the computer I chalked it up to something with maybe the phone lines in the house. Well a few days later the police came to my parents house and had asked them why they dialed 911, well after arguing with the cops and convincing them they didnt call 911, the police called and had the phone company check out the line and found out it was a bad connection on a pole about a block down, they fixed the problem and my parents internet problems subsided as well. one thing to remember if they have to check it from outside your house to the pole or whatever its free, but if they have to come into your house to check it then it costs a ton of money for each hour they are there. You may want to look into that.
