Good man. Guitar > all. I've played for 18 years. (Geez, do I feel old saying that!) What do you play? Both style-wise and gear-wise?
Newcastle is great stuff. Bellhaven is another fave UK beer. Do you go for the oatmeal stouts? They just don't make beer like that in the US. |
wow...18 years! im only saying that cause thats the kind of experience i would love to have under my belt. ive only been playing for 3-4 years....actually, i first started playing when i was in the 4th grade and then stopped after a year. then, in the 7th and 8th grade i started playing the tenor sax for the school band(yah, yah..band geek..but there was a few of us that made our band, a cool one ) so i was away from my guitar for several years...4 years ago i bought a les paul and havent put it down since. im more of a rythmn guitarist...i cant improvise well, but on top of slower riffs i can....and i love playing already written solos...i play those very well as long as im given enough time to learn them...
ah yes, the US will never get the same freshly made, great tasting 'beer from the tap' like they do overseas. |

You are more of a man than I am if you play a Paul. They are heavy bastages. Do you have one shoulder that is more buff than the other one? From playing guitar, I mean. Insert your own dirty joke here.
You are also doing well if you can play ANY lead guitar in 2002. I grew up in the era of Van Halen and Randy Rhoads, so lead skills were a must. I meet a lot of modern players who kill on rhythm, but never learn a note of lead! Although my lead playing these days sounds like Hendrix plugged into a mech. Kinda future psychedelic?? |

i appreciate the compliments! but even though i do have one buff shoulder(not because of the inserted dirty joke but because my LP is pretty heavy )...i will never be more of a man than you are. 18 years of experiecne gets a lot of respect from me.
old-school influences: doyle bramhall and joe satriani
todays influences: range from weezer and radiohead to underground bands that tour the clubs out here in L.A.
my 'todays influences' represent the kind of style i play now...
my 'old-school influences' represent how i want to eventually be playing. |

Away from the PC...
Well, I golf and bowl regularly in leagues. Golf handicap about 20 (on 18 holes), bowling average about 185. I play hockey when I get a chance... play strategy board games like Axis & Allies and Shogun. I pwn j00 at Shogun! I'm a season ticket holder for the Minnesota Vikings, and I go to alot of other sporting events as well.
I've done a fair amount of D&D and Star Wars role playing, but not much recently. I like the RPG games online, but since that's on a PC, I'm gonna have to quit now. |

you guys made a lot of smart off-season moves...so i agree..miami will be a team to look at. wandstadd(sp?) is a lil poo-poo head though for what he did to the Bears before we gave him the boot...he screwed our roster up so bad that we basically had hot dog stand workers as our starting QB.
miamis smartest move = giving Cade Mclown the boot. |
