After being here a year...

I've wondered why I was playing.. was it for myself? was it for my urge to blow off steam? what was driving me?

and then it hit me... I was playing for everyone else... like I had someone to impress... and I really don't care if I impress anyone anymore. I now play for myself. Its better that way for me, for you, for all of us. for this fact I will no longer use this Handle(nick, whatever the hell you call it). It kinda disgusts me now for the shear fact 1 year later my hopes around are dead. Simply cause you've all killed them.

I've always considered you a friend and have enjoyed your company many times.

When i first got into TF i played on whatever server was running the map i wanted to play. it was about fun and i played cause i like the game. than i found the ville and things changed. i play here not only because its fun and i love the game but because all you guys are my friends. things are just more fun if you know who you are fragging and/or being fragged by. The ville is not just another gaming site but a whole community of friends and family.

I like playing with you Brujah, and I certainly respect your abilities. I'm a little concerned about those last couple of statements too.

If you had hopes of being the best player at the Ville, then you probably will get your hopes dashed. There is no 1 best player at the Ville. Just look at the threads about "best this", and "best that". No one can agree. Plus, you've got some cream-of-the-crop players here too.

Plus, no matter how fast and how skilled you are, there is going to be some other joker that makes you feel like a noob. I'm sure even Svvord has been pissed because some sniper has punched his ticket a few times more than he'd like.

If your hope is to be respected as a skilled player and a good teammate, then pop the cork on the bubbly. You're there man. You probably won't get the strokes you are looking for in game. No one wants to praise someone that just kicked their butt. But I personally think you are a good player. More importantly, you're a good team player.

I think the respect is there man. Don't get frustrated.
