In your eyes, what constitutes camping

Really, the topic says it all.

I'm interested in when you think a person is camping? Is it when the server says "Person is camping.", or is it when the person avoids that by moving around a bit, but inevitably ends up at the same spot?

Interested in hearing your opinions.

well camp0rs are easy to deal with, you can easily toss a blind grenade or blind EMP and blow the hell out of them or destory thier pipetrap, then easily go finish them off...it also lets you know what passageways are probbably free and an easy in to the enemy base, becasue the people are camping another one...

well i've had the server say i was camping as soon as i joined a game before, many times, and then a few tiems when i went back to resupply for nades. most often on acropolis2. Even if you move though you can camp. if your good you'll find a way around it. What do engineers do? camp a lil ole sg in the way. My vote however went to bada at the top of the spiral. Just can't get past him, only chance is to hope he is on your team

I call somebody camping when they are doing something like respawn camping. Besides getting rid of in-actives, I would just call it D.

Yeah thats what I think also, Violent Pacifist. Its "bad" when you are camping the respawn(s)
The rest is ok, we will get you easy knowing where you are.

I would call camping staying in the same area for a long period of time. THis includes going back to the area over and over again after you die. It is defense, but it also is camping and a camper can be really hard to get rid of if they are fortified enough.

But seriously... I think most teams have a good set D if pleyers stick to their general area, floating to cover for someone who died or had to go get ammo.

It's playing D. I like knowing where the people are going to be, makes them easier to avoid or kill. Just one point I want to make. NEVER call a sniper a camper. They are a SNIPER. The point is to stay in a hard to reach spot and pick people off, it's what they do. You can't call that camping otherwise they would have called the class Camper instead of Sniper.
