Accusations

Alright, to all that don't know, I've been playing anynomous lately. In doing so I've been accused of cheating. Last night is a specific example. I was playing on TV3 and as a spy on Acropolis2. And to say the least my team was getting trounced. So I start attacking their base and in that long hallway by the ladder, there were mgs and sgs. So as I would pass by there I would toss a nade or two and run up the ramp. It just happened that I killed the same engie (go figure) in the same manner twice. This reg to TV then told me I was using an aimbot and promptly left. Roofcutter then soon appeared and can verify that I was, however, not using an aimbot.
The reason I am posting this is because I think that many of us at TV are beginning to become a little, shall I say server-centric, meaning that only good players have played at TV for months and that there is no other real talent out there. I just thought I would post this because I think it needed to be said.

Yes I popped in and the accusations were flying.
As far as I know with the latest releases aimbot dosen't work nor are there any speed cheats currently available. I maybe wrong so someone correct me if I am.

The person who was saying you were using aimbot said he would stop after I said it was no fun for me to listen and (presumably take action). He admitted he really didn't think you were using aimbot. Good thing he stopped.

So the lesson here is cry wolf and you might be on the receiving end of an admins actions.

I will have to agree with frag on this one heh. I dont know what the use of an aim bot with a grad would be LOL. Of course if their are engies builden on that lil latter area you are going to throw grads up first duh its kinda a gimmy there. The only time I will wonder about aim bot is when a snipers dot jiggles around on my head and hits me everytime without me getten a kill ever so often.

I admit that was me. I was pissed because you hit me square in the face twice in a row from around a corner while I was moving. BTW I don't only play on this server and I play on a plethora of other servers and I don't just play TFC (science and industry is th ebest mod

). BY THE WAY, roof you didn't even talk to me about it. Ban me if you wish, what I did was foolish and out of anger and not honor.

Roof, you could not be more wrong about the cheats. There is a fairly bad set out there now. But it might only work for Counter-Strike. However I read on PF a while back that Valve's next main focus is anti-cheats, so godspead to them.

Not only do these cheats mess up the game through direct use, but they also add a whole new level of distrust and uncertainty that can really ruin a game... as witnessed above

Yes thats what I've read and heard. It is mostly CS. but I have not heard of particular examples of cheats in TFC that weren't addressed in our last update.
Do you know of any? If you don't think it's appropiate to post, email me so I can watch for them please.

There are cheats for tfc still and I was playing against someone on another server that was using them, since my ping was well over 500 to Theville 1. He had some kind of noclip thing going on. Just go to the halflifehacked.com site that you see a few people have advertised when they play. Maybe you can pick up a few things to look for there.
