Ok, at work a women I work with is trying to hook my up with her daughter. Now I have seen what she looks like and her mother told her about me. She is dam cute and from what I hear wants to meet me. Now for the bad news, she is only 17(just turned) and I am 25. So far those two see no prob with it ,only I do. So, my question is Go for it of back off?

Well its not illegal if the parent consents, but as for going out with her do what feels right in you.

Actually it still is illegal even if the parents consent to it. Unless of course you get some kind of document saying it's OK signed by all the parties involved. The only other way is if she has been emancipated from gaurdianship from her parents, ie.. she is responsible for herself legally. That would sound very tempting but to many complications involved.

if you like her , the go for it. go on a date, youl see if it will work out or not.

maybe she will be to young for you, maybe she's still a child, who knows, take her out dancing or for dinner or whatever and youl see quickly how she's like.

i mostly have the same problem, exept that i search for older women. you never know a thing until you get to know eachother.

You are just asking for problems. WAIT till she is legal. Jail is not a good place to be placed in for any reason, but statutory rape follows you for life. You just don't need the hassel.

I agree with ROOF and Bada, look at it this way, even if you could guarentee that you wouldnt get in any trouble you still have to keep in mind that she is only 17 that means she still is probably going to go away to college and thats where she is going to truly have to learn to grow up, You just couldnt have a serious relationship because shes more than likely eventually going to come up with the idea that by being with you she is missing out on a fun time in her life. and Bada BAM, youve just been dropped on yo head.

Just a thought from what ive seen in the past

As for the "legality" of it I do not know what the laws where you live say (Nevada right?) but here a 17 year old is of consenting age (although not liberated--go figure.)

I would look at the whole thing in another way. I have never experienced or witnessed relationships with people whom one works with as being fruitful. They always seem to go bad in some way. Since this is the child of someone you work with, that adds an extra layer of complexity. Remember, if you start dating and things don't work out, how will that effect your working relationship with the mother?
