watch out ppl.

i just had 2 separate viruses e-mailed to my new hotmail e-mail address

i only opened the dam attackments because hotmail says it scanned the attackment b4 i opened t with MCAFEE virus scanner. hot mail said the attachment was clean but as soon as i opened it, norton antivirus auto protection wirled into action saying that i had been infected with a virus, its all cleaned up of my comp now but just to warn you.

The file
C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\8S030H1S\cristo2002[1].cpl
is infected with the W32.Kitro.C.Worm virus.

^^ this is the log that norton made about the virus, it may help you to avoid it

its pretty much a low risk virus...but feel free to read more about it below...seems to effect Kazaa users and spread itself via MSN messenger. *shrug* I use neither. hEh

Never download kazza without its upgrade thingy. Cuz I downloaded it and I got about 3000-4000 virus from it.

Like ALL e-mail DON'T open unless you are sure that it is ok. The other day I was sent some e-mail by a fellow villun. I did not open until I was able to get in contact with him via pm. Indeed he had NOT sent it. I am not in his address book nor have we ever sent e-mail to each other. So why did I get it, hell I don't know.

The subject was "A New Website"

The body read: Hello this is my new website. I expect you would enjoy it.

It had two attachments with it:
1: Avftr.bat (87.2 KB)
2: ATT00004.txt (32.4 KB)

Moral of story is to be CAREFUL and check BEFORE the magic click.

i only opened them because hotmail said that it had scanned them with a virus scanner powered by MCAFEE.. and that the attackments were clean.

but as soon as i opened them my virus scanner (norton 2002 fully updated) detected the virus and killed it
