Starting TODAY I am downgrading to ME from XP pro. Tired of some memory issues and things.

I am planning on restoring it to the factory settings and instaling only half life and WarCraft 3 to save the rest for images vids and music

The things i do to lower my ping

Downgrading? WTF? Are you insane?

ME crashes when you breath on it funny. XP is a H000GE upgrade from ME.

You are nuts Chan. I couldn't put the Gig of RAM in my machine when it had ME. I had 768 and it still gave me memory errors. XP > ME
ME = CHIKKUN POO

111 megabytes. that... is... NOTHING compared to ME. And they both use the same amount of HDD space.

Well that sucks Chan. I had mine go bad. So instead of me going out
and buying another one. I brought a blank CD R-W to my local Wal-Mart
and got the PC guy there burn me a copy of it on a floor model there.
Gave the guy $10 bucks for the trouble and I had a new OS Disk

Whats the big problem with indows ME?!? I have windows ME and I don't even have any problems with it. I hardly ever get any memory errors and it usually runs smoothly. Although system restore never works, but I think that its a program that microsoft spent 1 day on.

Well, XP Pro certainly has more potential, it just depends on how good it is right now. XP, I believe, uses its resources much more efficiently than ME, although it does require resources to be used in the first place There is an ever-increasing number of sites out there, able to help you get on track with XP Pro. Try http://www.blkviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm, and perhaps http://www.blkviper.com/WinXP/strangeservice.htm to help you do some tweaking. It works for me with XP Home , although it does take a wee while to do.
