As far as I'm aware this has not been posted before, atleast not here, and if you look in my original post you'll see that I declared that this post was stolen.
I'll have to say that I didn't expect this response at all, honestly I expected a bunch of leftists (democrats, socialists, tree-huggers, anti-capitalists) to begin a flame war aimed at me for posting it.
Oh well I pleasent suprise I see. Thanks for being civil guys... wow a non-flamefest semi-political post, who would have thunk it.

WTF Bobins, have you no sense of when something has even a hint of seriousness to it? Oh wait! You didn't even bother to read the post before making a reply.... hmm doesn't the word reply in itself demand that you reply to something, you post was in response to nothing and was yet another example of the spamtasticness that I have made my feelings very clear on.
IMHO I think as the admins read through here they delete the posts that are total garbage so I dont' have to sift through them to find something worth reading and your post certainly was not that.

| I think most americans might think this but don't have the balls to say it. "It's not a memo, it's a mission statement." |

I remember when I still lived in Houston, Ted Nugent came to one of the local stations for a week. He is very much in your face with what he thinks and feels. I thought it was refreshing to hear someone just say what they think in a non confrontational way. Did I agree with everything he said? No. Do I respect his opinion? Yes. Why? Because when he presents an idea, he generally supports it. He isn't just out there spewing garbage for argument's sake. I can always respect a differing opinion when it is presented with some reasoning. At the very least it can make for some interesting conversation, especially when the people involved accept that they will not change each other's mind. _________________

I enter this thread apprehensively, as politics are implicated rather starkly here. But then again, NaniteFog invited me
All over the western world there are the same problems - delinquents who don't even attempt to keep it clean and haul themselves up to an acceptable level of society, thus being productive to society. Instead, they continue to commit crimes and take taxpayers' money to spend on drink and drugs, effectively stealing from society. As for the do it in English bit - this is why race riots take place and far-right parties are trying to re-capture Europe - breathe the wrong way, riots take place and the PC Brigade are out in full swing. Mr. Nugent is saying what everyone else is scared of saying, and it's about time more of us did the same. In fact, a lot of us do so already, but we can't seem to make it clear to the high-up people who really matter.
Let's not go on about every single point raised by Mr. Nugent - my post is big enough as it is. But the Bill Gates thing made me laugh - people seem to hate people who make a name for themselves and build-up an enormous success. In theory there should be about a billion people out there making their own OS, because they hate this one man and his company. Fair play to anyone who does, but until then - wheesht!
BTW, I believe there is a thread in the PWG forums containing a similar debate - so all you bloodthirsty demons looking for an argument can go there |

I think someone was looking for a different perspective. Maybe as a comparative.

Any of you wacky Canadians, Scots, or Down Underers (that a word Omega?) are welcomed to comment. You probably have an interesting nonspammy view about all this. |

I was Hoax. I wanted to see what this looked like to someone that doesn't live in the US and deal with these particular problems everyday. Thanx Raph. _________________

Well I can see this moving towards a life at the bottom of page two so I thought I would add this end before it was totally deceased.
Since many of you seemed to be in agreement with some of what was written I thought you might want to check out the political part with whom I choose to affiliate myself. The Libertarian Party (<-click). For anyone that has ever listend to Neal Boortz this is nothing new but I really think they have some fabulous ideas unfortunatly since the Rep. and Dem. have forced the US into a state of Bipartisnship with not to much of a chance for third parties.
Just thought I'd offer another perspective.[/url] _________________ "Don't be so humble - you are not that great."

id vote liberitarian if i could, 2 more years...anwyays that is a pretty good short essay or whatever...i think he is calling himself a "bad american" becasue certain groups/individuals have made it seem its frowned upon to think in that way, but i have to say that though there is no exact cut-out or mold for an "american" that is pretty close to an awful lot of good old americans...
and about the fireworks, hell yea...legal schmegal i was blowing off tons of fireworks out in LI this past weekend at the end of the camp where i had been workgin the past 2 weeks, and some neightbor called the cops becasue of gunshots...the cops came out but didnt do anything becasue pretty much as long as you not baing a total imbcil and shooting them into your neightbors houses or killing anyone or anything, they will usually let it go.... we definately need more sane fireworks-for everyone!
heh
