I'M SICK OF HEARING THIS....

I have to agree, if no one is claiming the flag, then just cap it. For all you know, the medic(an example) could have dropped it for someone defense to take it back to cap, while the med gets to the respawn, or the medic died and there is someone waiting at the respawn. I don't care if it doesn't take long to cap, but when I am waiting there for a few minutes and die because the flag didn't get capped, that is when I get angry.

I usually play sniper and thats all i got on my mind. But if i see a med or someone running the flag back and get killed i'll grab the flag. take it to our base and toss it back to the med or the first person i c. then go back to sniping.

Cap the flag, don't worry who's it is, just do it as fast as possible to try and help your team.

This is most annoying: offensive HW picks up the flag from the yard, takes forever to find the CP, and then gets to the CP after about 10 minutes. You probably hear "Cap it already!!!"x100 If everyone didn't care about their individual score, then there would be no need for "Whose cap is it?"

That was a great game! No matter what the nme threw at us, they just couldn't break through. That was great D. I also have a soft spot for engy's.

meanwhile while we wait for original person who liberated the flag to come back and claim their cap.. our team mates are getting killed standing on the enemys flag return waiting for it so they cam at least move it up a little bit... "team" fortress classic? aparently not for everyone... does it bugg me that i dont get to reap the rewards of my deaths? sure.. but if they changed the scoreboard to not show personal scores and show only team scores id still play the game! too many people who are all about "me" playing a team game doesnt really fit IMHO but will it change? not likly.. theres always someone new who will cry "my cap!" and get all bent about the way the actual team players play the game... btw anyone catch the F1? nothing like being a raceing god...

Here's what it comes down to - some people get REALLY annoyed when they put a lot of effort into capping the flag and can't reap the "rewards" with the cap. So if someone is extending a little courtesy and asking whose cap it is, don't flame them.

Now, if you've respawned twice in the time it's taken them to figure out who's going to cap, then go cap it yourself already!

well you've all got similar thoughts -- but if i see the flag has been droped ill pick it up n try n cap it -- so anyone waiting can get it when it re-spawns -- or if i see a faster class near me -- ill toss it to them -- to speed up the game

thats what i tryed to do yesturday on acrop -- i would go to the enemy's flag spawn n try n keep the defence at bay while medics/scouts keep flag running -- if their ist a medic/scout around n it spawns ill take it as far as i can or toss it to the first fast class from my team i see -- it was anoying me yesturday cos on acrop i was their in the enemy's flag re-spawn area trying to keep it clear for ppl to keep flag running n all i kept seeing was 'who's cap' over and over

I only ask "who's cap?"(or whatever variant I throw out now and then)
under 2 circumstances

1) someone carried the flag a substantial distance to the cap point

2) they are arn't bitching that its thier cap

I mean really the flag is on my freakin back... what you gonna do kill yourself with reverse damage?

heh .. I guess my hatred for cap hogs kinda shows but ya know... we all hate hearing every 20 seconds that's my cap
