I was wondering how everyone got a pic thing that shows up after they put up a post. Because I was interested in getting one. so if someone could help me that would be cool.

Do you mean the picture on the left under your name (avatar), or the one at the bottom of your post (signature)? Either way, you can click Profile at the top of the page to set it up.

If you mean the avatar, there is an option to upload it, if it is small enough. You can find avatars all over the net, or make your own.

To have a picture in your signature, you need a place to host the image. You then enter the web address of the image as part of your signature. There are lots of places to host an image. Your ISP may provide you with space to store stuff, although they may not let you link to it. You can always PM a TVB member . . . we host our images right here at the Ville, and someone may lend you some space.

how do I set up the avatar in the profile.

Do you have one ready to go?

Hit Profile and enter your current password. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom. There are three ways to set the Avater. If you have the file on your machine, click the Browse button and select the file. If it is too big, it will be rejected and you'll have to shrink it.

The other two options require the web address of an avatar, either one that you are hosting, or one on another website. If it's from another website, it will be uploaded to the Ville server. If you are having size issues, you'll have to find a way to host it yourself. For example, my blinky one is too big to upload, so I host it on my TVB page and link to it.

Or ...you could draw your Avatar on Microsoft Paint, shink it and save it as a gif. file (make sure you shink it 2KB) then under the Avatar profile area upload from your comp by browsing.

And wala! A homemade, self-drawn avatar!

I found mine by doing a AIM buddy icon search(Google). They're about the same size, so it's just a matter of what one you want.
