Ya know, not to make a big deal of something but I posted this exact same feeling a while back when Bak was talking down TV and then posting his server info as an alternative. Now everything is cool now so I dont wanna open old wounds but NJK also did the same thing with there server and I believe there was one other that did it but my memory short. Anyhow I felt this exact same way and was SLAMMED by a few that thought "How dare I" say things like this. I guess its alright though since Snag is on thin ice here at TV with a few ppl. Personally I dont really care for the double standard but I guess I'm just a Reg and should just STFU |

It would be a nice thought for you to advertise your server for people when the Ville servers are down. Problem is, that is not what it seems like you are doing.
PWG's and BR's servers are linked from this site because they are not ignorant people who post in the forums serveral times about how we need to check out their servers. If you want a link, and think you deserve one, to your server then send Rob an email or pm him. Making statements about how admins run this website and telling them that it is food for thought won't get you very far.

OK here's the deal, talked to Rob. Snag gets his one blurb about his server and that's it. You may not talk down at The Ville at all. So post it once and that's all.

all very good questions!!  how could you not run a business without small advertisements and yet still make the mmoney that keeps servers going??
all interesting but i was just looking back at my old days before fully getting into the ville and making new friends again with some old ones i have not seen since turkeyburgers went down...
a well a new life began for me in the ville and i just want to keep the peace with all of you and the admins!! have a great wednesday all and see u soon for frags or chats

Half the admins on snags server are in my clan, so I was obviously j/k about them being noobs . I don't see what the big problem is with all the talk about snag's server. It is not like he started the thread to get people to come to his server. Someone posted about wanting more ville servers so someone else(not Snag) posted snags server because a lot of the people that play there also play at theville. Im not sure how servers work, but im pretty sure nobody is making any more or less money with a change in the amount of people playing on a paticular server. I could understand if everyone got their panties bunched up if snag was trying to promote a different forum or webpage to go to, but it is only a different server(with the same awesome people). Possibly his post is making more money for theville, if people keep posting then there is a greater chance they will click the ads on the top of page(click them!).  . Nobody said anything bad about theville(why would they?), they just offered an alternative.

I was just making shyure I had the right IP address's! I didn't mean to start all this.
How hard would it be to set a banner on map walls for an advertisement for the Ville on other servers? Right now the Avanti map does this on TheVille 5. I think that is a server being hosted by somone else is it not? And it still has Ville all over it. IF I ever figure out how to do get a server running. My server will be theville.org X ! If Rob would say yes. I can just run the avanti map with the palm Trees and TheVille.org all over it. Why not? It would help support the Ville. If you want to support the Ville Buy a SHIRT!!!!!!!!
That way if you r on vaction we may run into each other and have somthing to talk about?
