That's pretty disgraceful - being made to wait for that long. What a mess we're living in #Shocked #Cussing out

Think positive. The advances that the medical profession have made in resent years is mind boggling. It's a shame that we have to wait so long to receive treatment though.

Our hopes and prayers are with you. Don't chew off too much of your nails and don't wear a patch in the floor from pacing back and forth. Like I said think positive.

o thx ppl

i went in to see my cousin erlier today n he's alright -- didnt seem nervouse at all -- which can only be a good thing -- he's got his op at 8AM UK time tommorow (17th)

o and to tell you how it happened and the mess thats gone along with it

if u think thas bad then just wait untill you have heard what i'm about to say

it all started 3 years ago -- yes thats 3 years

my cousin darren was complaining of back pains
so he went n got his back checked out -- went to the local hospital and had an x-ray and they said his back was fine -- but he still had this pain

so he was put on pain killerz for 2 years -- after 2 years he was sent to a much larger hospital ( a decent hospital )
and he had another x-ray taken -- but the key thing was that they looked at his x-ray from 2 years b4 -- and without even having to put his x-ray onto an x-ray veiwer the consultant spotted a break in one of his vertibra

so cos of the local hospital he had been walking around -- playing sport in school (this includes rugby -- soccer -- baseball etc.) with a broken back

and because it wasent spotted by the local hospital he had grown in the 2 years so the gap in his back were the break is has just got larger

so as u can imagine my cousin and nan ( he lives with his nan and not his mum -- a long story that i dont wont to go into ) were very #Cussing out about this as anyone would be

but as it had been finnaly diagnosed he was able to goon the waiting list for the operation -- and as i said above he's been waiting for this operation for a year

this is the mess thats been surounding the whole thing

and as you can imagine my nan has started proceedings to sue the local health aurthority

because he didn't actually find out that he had a brocken back untill 2 years after the back pain started he cant actually remember what caused it

the only thing that he can think of is that it could of happened while playing rugby or bulldogs in school.

so over all -- he's very lucky -- as at any point in them 2 years he could of moved his back in the wrong way and could of paralized himself

o and im glad too that the medical profesion has improved -- i just wish they would train the dctorz properly
