i reformatted (nothing new, i do it all the time) but unfortuately THIS one time HL is being a major pain in the ass to get working again...im getting allll kinds of errors, from the key-binding list being "empty" to no being able to load /gfx/xxx.bmp and whatnot to it jsut crashing....whats goin on! i hope i can get this piece working before i have to go, (for 2 weeks!!) and any more time without TFC or the ville will make me absolutely go ina corner and CRY!!! i miss all of you and really really hope i can get in at least a few minutes of game before i go....WORK YOU TFC WORK!!!

try checking your config.cfg file and autoexec.cfg file to see what's in there. when you reinstalled your HL, it might have written over your old settings. also make sure you've got the latest full patch so that you don't miss anything. i'm sure you prob know all this already, just putting it out so that i can move on beyond my measley 800+ posts...  |

aHA!! got it! turns out it was a dirty HL cd...installation errors and such....whats the latest update btw? 1110 right?

SH!T!!! i thought i got it working but nooooo....its telling me my team fortress executable is out of date...i didnt know there was a tfc.exe, but i go update and the sierra thing is telling me its up-to-date...any idea what gives? (it gives me this error on multiplayer servers only BTW i can hazzard course just fine but it sure does get old fast)
help!! plzz!!!

arg wtf...now TFC kinda starts but just crashes instantly when i start out of eye or try to start conole or from the ingame browser....DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!! bad bad VERY bad!! anyone ever have the instant-tfc crash happen to them?
