I am considering getting ICQ. I was wondering what version I should get. Is there anything that I should be aware of before running it? Anything else about it will be appreciated.

The trillian program makes chatting easier because it makes it so there is only one program that will allow you to go into stuff like AIM, MSN, ICQ, IRC and others.

It is one program that will allow you to use all of your chat programs from just the confines for trillian. You can actually get rid of the other programs, I believe and save hard disk space.

boo for trillian.
I would use it, but I mainly use AIM, with teh occasional use of ICQ. With ICQ on "Float" mode, it doesn't waste desk space.
Plus, I am too lazy to try and configure trillian. It is a very non-user friendly chat program imo.

Not easy to configure? Have you lost your mind? It's easy as it gets and you get to use ICQ, AIM (send messages to tupac3636), MSN, and Yahoo chats at once.

What is the rational/benefit/necessity of ICQ, AIM , MSN, etc., chats?
