Do you guys run 220 volts in England?? And what is the wattage of your power source on your computer?? I can calculate exactly how much power your computer will use IF You are running at maximum capacity for a day. One of the benefits of being an electrician I guess .

i aint got a clue what wattage my comp uses but we have a power supply of 240V

i found this on the back of my comp though

200 - 240V - 2.0A

as that shows the voltage and how much amps r used im assuming the 200 is the wattage -- but i havent got a clue

if thats ot the wattage -- do u know where i will find it??

With the rates in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, using a 200 watt power supply at 240 volts and the computer working at it's full capacity all day it costs me about $0.34 a day to keep it running. Over a months time that's $10.54 with 31 days in that month. I would have to know what the rates are for power in the UK to convert it. Also I would have to know what the conversion is from dollar to pound. Now your probably real confused!?!

Electric shower . Now I've heard everything .

BTW, those figures were a worst case scenario. The average person does not use that much power at home for their PC .

I think Britain now runs at 230V. Although that just made Standard Grade Physics a bit awkward. I'd have gone further in Physics, as the level I did was so easy. But I didn't. And now I know how to swear in different languages.
