Dustbowl Poll

Ok, I haven't done a poll in a while, so don't yell at me.

I've always enjoyed a good game of Dustbowl, it was one of my favorite maps. Defense is a blast because of the carnage, and offense is a blast because of the challenge. I really enjoy offensive Solly since it tests your skill so well.

I know that some folks don't care for Dustbowl because of the spamming of the entry points, but I've always thought that type of situation is specifically why teamplay is so important. Distracting the defense so that a spy can get in or sneaking down to a point where you can snipe one sg before you die is the ultimate in sacrifice for your team.

So, I'm curious, who's for Dustbowl and who's agin it. I may be in the minority on this one, but I still want to know.

i like dustbowl..as long as the teams are reasonable. i agree with all youve said about dustbowl..and it was one of my favorite maps before too!

dustbowl is an ok map but when the teams are heavily one-sided for defense, its the worst map. Its too one-sided IMO.

About 7or 8 months ago, i used to play at a 24/7 dustbowl server when i was first playing tfc. I always loved it and i still do as long as there are good teams and great teamwork. The type of dustbowl that i hate is when there is so much nade spam that the offense never gets past the entry on the 2nd stage.

i agree -- dustbowl is similar in a way to murder ball -- in the way that it suxs if llama's n n00bs r playing -- but it roxs it regs r playing -- with even teams n good team work -- which comes as standard with regs

Suckbowl...it's okay with absolutely no n00bs or llamas. Any other way sucks. Pete's is the only server I can stand to play it on.

As much spam as Gibbon and Raph? Definetely seen that. I would like it on the Private Server where n00bs and llamas couldn't get. Everytime I play on a pub server i'ts like 12 defenders and 6 attackers. How come no one ever wants to attack?

I really like dustbowl with even teams and lots of players. I refuse to play the NEO version with spy detecting MGs though. That is just way too one sided. I like the fast and furious maps like dustbowl, avanti and murderball.

Hmm... I haven't defended on spambowl for a long time. Attacking is, IMO, more fun, and more challenging than defending/spamming. Also, it's more challenging than going red at the start of avanti, and trying to hold the church for any length of time

I like dustbowl too expecially offense.
It's a challenge to get treu the avalange of bombs, but once you get treu (as spy) you can kill everybody so yur team gets true.

But once peoplee begin to go theure own way i aint pleasant anymore.

Just like in all the other games TEAMWORK is the KEY.

ahh spambowl..one of the worst maps ever to have on a pub server

i have NEVER seen decnt teamplay liek letting a spy thru to nade the SGs, eveyone behind you triggers the SGs and they mow you down as well...then the defending demos who wh00r the nade packs and MIRV and pipebomb you to bits...as soon as the O team gets by the choke points its ok, but there should be WAY more ways to get between the areas..those bottlenecks just plain SUCK!! big time!
