Max Payne

Although I spend most of my time playing TFC, I do have plenty of other games installed, and on c.d.
I have spent the weekend play a game called Max Payne. I wanted to find out if any body else had played it and has thoughts on it. I found it incredibly immersive, with some of the best ambience ever. Some of the game sequences are truly bizarre and scary.

We have Max Payne around here somewhere I've been thinking about doing other things and haven't .Guess I ought to break it out and give it a whirl.
I wondered where the logo came from. It looks good as a spray. The lady would also!

Max payne is a crazy game. I have it and it is amazing, especially the bullet-time matrix shit. It's fun doing a shoot dodge with the double Uzi's and emptying a whole room full of baddies. Best 3rd person shooter I have ever played.

Yeah - I was amazed when I discovered that move...the slow-mo thing. You can even see the rounds exiting the weapon you are using..you seen the snipe-movie ???hmm, will try to take a screen shot next time. Too late to play now - the game scares the living shit out of me. Roof - thanks for the compliment man - just got a digital cam, so playing with my new toy - hence all the pics on my site. So if any of you ever wondered what I look like, take a look..sorry - no naked shots

I've been playing the demo of Max Payne since last night, and I always end up doing the slow mo deal whilst -missing everyone- then as soon as the action picks back up 3 guys shoot me down at point blank.

And of course I'm out of pain killers and I forgot to quick save so its back to the begining.

Oh well I'll probably get better if the computer stops crashing

The only problem with max payne is that it is pretty damn hard, one shot at close range with a shotgun and your dead, if you catch fire from the molotovs your dead, if you get into the sights of an enemy with double Uzi's...well you know the rest.

Yeah, Max Payne is pretty cool. But the story really could have used some work. The writing of those cutscenes and dialog. And what's with the freakin constant smirk on his face? But yeah, gameplay wise it is VERY cool. A very different single player game with great gameplay I thought, was Oni. Of course, with Oni, you don't want to use your guns you want to whack the crap out of the enemies with your bare hands, its way more fun. I think its interesting that neither one has Multiplayer capability.
